Thank you for writing this despite the mansplainers who flock to this sort of thing. The himpathy on the left isn’t much better than on the right. I’d almost argue it’s more toxic because it knows how to hide more effectively.

To say, “We don’t want an obvious misogynist holding a position of public power over women,” isn’t calling for him to be locked away or have all his social media banned for life. It’s just saying his misogynistic actions make him unfit for a career governing female constituents, for godsake. That’s not punishment, that’s boundaries. But of course, women aren’t allowed to have those.
